Berzocana is located on the western side of Las Villuercas, composed of large quartz outcroppings that form the heart of this mountain range.

A privileged land with abundant lushness, at a height of 728 metres, it provides very favourable environmental conditions to the valleys that surround it.

Spring time can last until the beginning of July, summer usually brings much cool air, autumn can display an enjoyable array of colours, and if not too dry, winters are usually mild.

It’s territory encompasses two distinct ecosystems: the lowlands of native holly oak; and the high forest of deciduous oak and chestnut trees often impenetrable and overflowing with life which extend from the south and east of the village.

History has chosen the village of Berzocana as a repository of historic treasures, a land where one gets the impression that time has stood still, in the serenity and inspiration of its’ surrounding nature, wildlife and echoes of yesteryears.

In the tradition of this land one will find traces of ancient prehistoric cultures, the sounds of the Celtic blacksmiths of old, the splendour of roman heritage, relics of Visigoth saints, and a splendid example of Renaissance art in the church of St. John the Baptist.

This is just a small example of what you can discover if you were to look a little closer and surely it will trigger your imagination even further.
